McLaren Sports Cars
Mclaren Automotive approached Alban Cases with specific drawings for a bespoke wooden case to hold the cardbon fibre bodies for the SLR. The cases were required for long term storage, to be stacked 3 high (up to 30 years) and for possible shipping worldwide at any time.
Following an on-site meeting at McLaren to view the product and to discuss the packaging with their team we provided a full packing and storage solution.
- A scale model of the wooden case
- Samples of the internal fixings and packaging, including moisture barrier bags
- A quotation for manufacturing and packing the car bodies at McLarens site
Our Solution
Our proposal with McLaren was talked through and accepted and the manufacture began. The equipment was packed on site by our specialist team and shipped by road freight to Germany for long term storage.
